Our Blood Rule

If blood is drawn from an animal, the hunt is over. This rule applies whether the animal is recovered or not, whether it ultimately dies or survives, and regardless of where it goes after the shot. Once blood is drawn, the hunter may not pursue or harvest another animal during that hunt. We believe no additional opportunity to fill a tag should ever take priority over our responsibility to an animal that has been wounded.

We have a deep appreciation for wildlife and the outdoors as part of God’s creation, and we believe every animal deserves respect throughout the entire hunt. Our standard is rooted in ethical sportsmanship, fair chase, and the values exemplified by the Boone and Crockett Club. A successful hunt is not simply about taking an animal, but about how responsibly and respectfully it was pursued.

Fair Chase & Modern Technology

Modern rifles, optics, rangefinders, and ballistic technology have made shots possible at distances that were once unimaginable. While we respect and use these advancements, technology should enhance the hunt—not eliminate the challenge of getting close to an animal. True hunting is not about how far you can shoot; it is about how close you can get before taking the shot. We believe the challenge of reading the terrain, understanding the animal, using cover, closing the distance, and earning a responsible shot is what makes fair-chase hunting meaningful. Technology should help a hunter make a more informed and ethical decision, not encourage them to stretch the limits of what is possible. The equipment may have changed, but the responsibility to pursue game fairly and give the animal a reasonable opportunity has not. The goal is not to see how far modern equipment can reach, but how much distance the hunter is willing to close. Prior to arrival, hunters are expected to be familar with Colorado Hunting Laws and legal vs illegal equipment.

Our commitment is simple: respect God’s creation, honor the animal, practice fair chase, close the distance, make the shot count, and take responsibility for every shot. Once blood is drawn, the hunt is over.
